A Flag Fit For The Beach

Sit me at a desk all day or in front of a computer and I'm lost but give me a tool some wood and a paint brush and of course some Ce Ce Caldwell's paint and I'll work all day and love it!!

I seen a picture of this flag somewhere months ago, so I had to make one of my own.
After I made this one, I seen one similar to it at a wholesale show, after looking at the wholesale price I was sooooo glad I made my own.

We've been having  beautiful weather here in Western Maryland, so the paint brush has been rockin some Ce Ce Caldwell's chalk/clay paint.

"The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: that a thing

constructed can only be loved after it is constructed, but a thing created is loved before it

 exists." Charles Dickens

French Script Writing Desk

This oak desk has been sitting in my work shop for months, knowing I love the shape of it but not sure what color or how I wanted to embellish it or if it really needed embellish at all.
I got a call from Valley Antiques to let me know a large table was sold. Oh no I don't have a thing ready to go over to the shop. So I pulled this beauty out on Friday and painted her with Ce Ce Caldwell's chalk/clay paint in Simply White, after she was painted I could see she needed something. Then I remembered this French script stencil I ordered and haven't been able to use yet. It fit perfect on this desk top. I have a passion for grays and whites, so I took some Ce Ce's paint in 1 part Pittsburgh Gray and 3 parts Simply White to get this  gentle touch of Gray.
Later in the day I added a coat of Ce Ce's clear wax, Saturday morning buffed the desk and by noon she was ready to make an appearance.
I'm lovin this Desk!!
She's now sitting in The Vintage Attic's room at
Valley Antiques 108 East Baltimore Street Funkstown, MD
