Drama Pool Side

What a sight first thing in the morning right, everyone loves babys.
These babys looks so sweet, just swimming around in the pool.
NOT!
They must have been in there a while the mother was quacking up a storm, the babys could not get out of the pool, they were not strong enough yet to jump that high while in the water. They were getting tired.
I yelled for my hubby, he got a fishing net to get them out, I don't think the mother thought we was there to help she didn't make it easy for us, at one point she went on the roof of the house and dove at us.
As we pulled them out they would jump right back in. So we had to get a large container to put them in until they were all out.

We got them all out and all was safe, we let the babys go at our fence line and the mother was happy, she took them to safety and all was well.
For today anyway, as much as I love to see baby animals, I don't want to see them in trouble or back in the pool.
Have A Great Day,
Melissa

Loads Of Loot

Hold on tight, this is going to be a hugh ride of photos,

WOW right,
I brought in two van loads of loot this past week.
Lots of fun decor at really really really good price's.
I may be in an antiques store but my price's say yards sale or flea market.
~
I just now found time to post pic's of the new loot,
this past week I was so busy having fun in the sun with famly, friends, kids, grandkids.
we spent a at the lake just relaxing with my sister,
a day of fishing with the hubby and son,
a day by my pool with friends,
a day by my pool with my son and all his friends,
and of course Fathers Day by the pool with the kids grandkids and my hubby.
Wow I fought the sun and the sun won, it whoooop up on my butt, so today I tried to do some cathing up in the house and I finally got to watch Alice in Wonderland (Loved It).
I'm lovin summer so far how about you?

Expanding Business

My sons candy business is expanding.
He has a space at by Grace, a shop in the downtown area where we live.
Now he's also in Valley Antiques.
I let him move in with me.
I gave him the prime location space in the little alcove right outside my room.
He only has a small amount of the candys he sale at this location, we are just doing a test run, if it pays off he will be adding more to this location.

So far he is doing good.
Tanner sales all kinds of Retro & Nostalgic candys that we remember as a child, candys like, B&B Bats, Teaberry gum, Rock Candy Sticks, Boston Baked Beans, Charms, Candy Necklace, French Taffy, Gold Mine Gum, Lemon Heads, Jujyfruits, Marshmallow Cones, Nik-L-Nips (wax juice bottles), Necco waffers,.............................you get the idea, he sales over 35 kinds of candy.

Tanner said the best part of his job is sampling all the products,
he wants to make sure it's good enough for his customers,
what a business man LOL!!

Vintage It Up

I found these at an auction last week.
I don't think I have ever seen any of these other than on a tv show,
you know when the hotel waiter brings you room service,
this is what covers your food.

How fun would that be serving your dinner guest with these
vintage silver domes over their food,
what a great conversation starter.
To top it off with vintage mix & match silverware.
~
The antiques shop I'm in has a blog so stop over and check it out,
become a follower to find out sale dates and special events or
to just see what new items have come into the store.
Why not there is nothing to loss only to gain.
~
I'll be joining Silver Sunday, check it out on my sidebar.

Collage Art

Time Flys.....

Live Life To The Fullest.....

Ok I'm liking this collage art, never really got into collage art until I started blogging. I have seen alot of bloggers doing collage art and they have inspired me.

This is the second piece I have done, I sold the first one within 3 days days of putting it in my booth, lets see what happens with this one.

The canvas I used was not new I just couldn't see paying 15 to 20 $ for one , so I picked one up at an auction that was used, and painted over it, eeeeeww I hope the original painting on the canvas was not a famous painter or something, you know like I just painted over a painting that is worth 100,000.00.

oh well I like mine better any way... Here is what was on the canvas.
I have to say I think I'm ok...

I got this set at an auction this weekend. It's cherry wood and one solid set of furniture.
My hubby painted it and now it's for sale.

I'm not good at taking picture's before I start a project, I'm usually in a hurry to get it started and finished. After I finish a project, it never fails I look back and say I wish I would of taken a before photo.

Even The Kitchen Sink

Back in January I found this sink at On A Whim in Leesburg Va. I had to have it but the hubby was nat as happy about it.
Well any way we know how that goes, he loaded it in the van. LOL!
Now here it is in my garden, growing herbs.

The faucet was gold not much on a gold faucet for the garden,
so I painted it silver.

I have been looking for years for a pink one, but up to this point I have only seen them on blogs, and in magazine.

Have not seen them at yard sales, flea markets, vintage antique shops, ebay. craigslist, restores, salvation army, goodwill stores, dumpsters, curbside trash days.

Someday I'll find my pink sink as for today I'm enjoying this one.
