Strawberries Off The Vine

Sitting out in the warmth of the sunshine this morning having my coffee, eating strawberries off the vines.
I didn't have space in my little garden to plant strawberries and I love them, so my hubby got me this hanging planter. Now I can enjoy eating strawberries right off the vine.

No Flip Flops For Us

No flip flops for us, just bare feetin it.
~
I posted about Old Navys Flip Flop sale just for today for just 1$ on my last post.
My son and I went to Old Navy today to get some 1$ flip flops, I wanted one in every color, well we walked into Old Navy and the line was wraped around the store with people holding hand fulls of flip flops, but there was no fun colors, just black, brown, gray & white. I wanted the colors that they advertised, pink auqa, blue, yellow, lite blue, bright pink, green, teal. There was none of those colors to be found, so not worth the wait. I asked the sales person about my dilemma, she said " this is the only colors they sent us" How can stores advertise falsely like that. So Old Navy is Off my list of stores to shop at.
~
Ok had to get that out!

Who Won?

So many colors to pick from...

I think it has to be blue, I love blue... this color goes well with both my shabby chic items and some primitive antiques..

The top color on this color strip is the color I painted my room,

Blue Horizon, a very beachy light blue.

Ok so no one gussed the color, so being the giving person I am, I put all names (all 4)of the people that let me a comment in a basket and drew one,

the winner is....

Guess & Win!!

On my last blog I ask for help, I needed some input on what color to paint the room I'm moving into the first of June. The thing was, I couldn,t paint the trim or take up the carpet, well I was able to paint the trim. So the trim is painted antique white.
Here is the trim color below.

I got alot of good idea's, so thank you to all who commented. As you know I did it my way in the end.
I thought I would have some fun with this, if you guess what color I painted the room I will send the first person that guesses the color a gift ( not sure what yet).
You have to be a bit specific, like by saying lite, or med., or dark, or with a hint of or a dab of or shaded with.... do ya get what I'm saying?
Let me a comment describing what you think is the new color on my walls. I will give you a hint, it's not white.
I will pick a winner that has described the color the best on Friday Morning May 21st
~
I have to ask that if you was in the shop today please don't participate in this giveaway.
Have fun,
Melissa

HELP!!!

Here it is the room I'm moving into the first of June at Valley Antiques & Uniques, (http://www.valleyantiquesanduniques.blogspot.com/) I already have a space there and I am doing well, but I love the room it looks like it's own little store and it's 250 sq feet.
I also get the little space outside of the room to the left of this pic.
~
I want to paint the room, but I can't paint the trim, there is another room in the shop with a color on it that looks good and it's a color from the rug that I can't paint either.

the rug,

the color of the other room,

I really don't want to leave it white, because I sale alot of white furniture and it would all just blend together.
So what do you think?
I haven't bought the paint yet, if someone out there in blogland has any other idea's please let me know.

Whats Up

Lots going on here in my neck of the woods.
First of all I'll be having another giveaway as soon as I reach 100 followers, only 6 to go.
~
I have been doing alot of gardening, hard not to with this beautiful weather we've been having here in north central MD.
Most of my flower pots this year will be full of veggies instead of flowers. When I went to the green house this past weekend they had alot of veggies planted in pot with some flowers around the outter edge of the pot and I have to say they were pretty nice looking, not only that I can buy 6 pepper plants for $1.50 but one geranium was $3.99, cost efficient also and good for me.
~
For more news, I will be upgrading my booth space starting the first of June, I'll be moving into a large room inside Valley Antiques & Uniques, (http://www.valleyantiquesanduniques.blogspot.com/) it's all about location, location, location... I have to say I have been doing quite well in the space I'm at but I know I can do better. I have always wanted the room, when I went to that shop before I was a dealer there, there was something about the room that people just liked going into.
This month I will be a busy bee getting ready to more than double my space. Here I come auctions, estate sales, curb side pick ups, weekend flea markets, yard sales, oh yea if you see feet sticking out of a dumpster please stop to help, LOL...
God Bless,
Melissa
