I WON!

I won!! the first time I have ever won something in blogland or anywhere for that matter.
I get to pick out my own hand painter sign.
I screamed, I did the happy dance and then I had to sleep on it, because I just couldn't decide.
So morning is here and I had to e-mail Christina @ Signs Of Obsession to let her know what sign I wanted, but I'm not going to tell what i decided until I receive my sign.
Stop by Christina's blog it is so charming you will love it.

No.6

I got a new scale!
This one is No.6 in my collection, it is green if you look real close if not it is just rusty and fabulous. I also picked up this Heager pottery, love the color and this wire basket was in my booth it didn't sale yet so I had to bring it back home.
I went thrift store shopping today, didn't get a van full just a couple of item I'll post a pic later. I ran into a friend today while I was out thrifting she said she got a car full of goodies, I think she hit the store's before I got to them. You can also run into Tamera on her blog at http://www.thestonefencecottage.blogspot.com/

To Paint Or Not to Paint?

To Paint or Not To Paint?
Items I picked up at an auction this week.
isn't this chair/step stool so cool, do I paint it or not?
I say paint it, what do you think?

I really like the green/white step stool, I won't be painting it.
I will be painting this wood bench, my delemma with it is what color?
Do I need to paint the coat rack? the wood on it has alot of scratches.

wall shelf has just the right amount of chippy old paint, I won't be painting it, or will I be painting this old cabinet below.

But this wall shelf and the bookcase below it will have a fresh coat of white paint on it the next time you see it.

I just can't help my self, I have to paint almost everthing, I just love the look of painted furniture.
When I'm at an auction and the auctioneer says, it cherry wood or it's mahogany, I have to say I could careless the only thing I want to know is how many coats of polly I have to strip off of it to get a good paint job.

Restocking

I love painted frames with items hanging in the center of them,

I painted two of these chairs, I am so not a tole painter, so after I painted them I sanded them down and put some stain on them to give the chairs a aged look.

the green garden cabinet, its tucked in behind the chairs, it's so bright it really don't need to be front and center for someone to see it.

The other tole chair hanging on the wall.

What an awesome antique scoop and old oil can caddy, great for the garden.

I had to do it, I had to bring in the chairs. I really wanted them, but I just can't keep everything, seriously someone will call the producers of the show horders if I kept everything I liked.
if you don't believe me ask my sister she's over at www.babyiamonmyway.blogspot.com .
LOL!
Really I already know what she will say, but she don't help the situation she told me to keep them.

I really like how my booth space looks full, put together and pretty (smile).

I think I might have to get a bigger space, this is addictive. I'm doing so well, so I tell my self I can do even better with more space = more stuff = more sales. For those of you with booth spaces what do you think? how big is your space? did you add on space? and if so how is it working for you?

God Bless,

Oh Happy Spring

Happy 1st Day of Spring!
What an awesome day this has been. With the sun shining bright, temps in the 70's, flowers in bloom and our first cookout.
As the day come to an end my hubby and I were out sitting on these two vintage chairs that I picked up at an auction a couple of weeks ago. I got them to take to my booth space, I was just waiting for the sun to come out to do so. Well today the sun was out so I cleaned up the chairs, but as we sat on them, my hubby said how comfy they are. I think we might have to keep them, we rocked on them until the sun went down.

oh yea I did a little painting, This cabinet went from drab to fab, can't wait to dress it up.

Life Is Good!!!

So what did you do on the first day of spring?

Some New Old Stuff

I added some new old stuff to my booth space over the weeekend.
I love the white with red polka dot lamp, I added a new shade to it.

isn't that old wood sign awesome along with that vintage metal childs cash register.

little old painted cabinets, are like an aphrodisiac, I don't need chocolate, olives or oysters, all he has to do is bring me a little old painted cabinet to get me all excited....
I bet if he reads this I'll have a house full of little old painted cabinets, he he...

I have set up a blog for the antique shop I'm in.
It's a work in progress, so please stop by let a comment or follow, remember when you first started your blog and every time someone let a comment or followed it just gave you that little push to keep it going, well this blog is no different, so please support a new blogger.
Have A Blessed Day,
Melissa
