She Considers a field, and buys it,
with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard

Rain, Rain Go Away

I looked out side an noticed the sky getting dark, the wind was blowing stronger, I think we are getting another storm. Tanner had his basketball in the yard, so I thought I would go and retrieve it so it don’t roll away. As I was walking fast down the front lawn I stepped on a patch of mushrooms and sled the rest of the way down the hill ( just a foot or two or three). I couldn’t believe it we have mushrooms growing in our yard, that’s how much it has been raining in our neck of the woods.
On one side of our home you will let a nice foot print in the grass because it is so damp and the sun don’t hit that side of the house, the rain has not let up enough for it all to dry out.
We will have one day of rain one day of clouds and high humidity, a day of sun, then it will start all over again.
Give me sun shine & no cloudy days!

I have very few pictures of flowers with out rain drops on them
Where you live whats the weather like?

Just Visiting

As I walked out on the back porch to have my morning coffee and do some reading,
I seen a little visitor on the porch. Our little guest was not has happy to be there as I was to have him there (assuming he’s a he). Then my hubby reminded me that our guest will not properly use the potty, ok then, he has to go back to his home. So we opened the door and waited, didn't take long, he likes his home better.

I reclaimed my morning set. Their is nothing like sitting parcel outdoors having my morning coffee and devotions, listing to the sound of birds singing there praises...

A Load Of Loot

all painted and ready to put on the truck...

This towel rack had a broken piece off the top, so I just cut the top off and, ta da...
this piece looks like it came off the top of an old mirror, now it's a hat rack or whatever you want to hang on it. I sealed it with poly and added hooks...

Vintage rocking horse, I just sealed it with poly. Now the kids can sit on it or a plant, myself I would sit it in the house just as the art it is, or in my garden..
I just love this bench, this is a piece I would of kept for myself, if I had room...
Just plain plastic pots, spray with out door paint and polka dots, I just use a round sponge to get my dots, spray sealer and you've got new pots.

Somethings I've been working on, the items pictured are now for sale at The Vintage Attic

The Best Shoofly Pie

In Lancaster today, Tanner and I made my dh stop at this store. As we was walking up to the door we was not even sure if it was just a gift shop or a restaurant. I was hoping both. The outside of the shop just draws you into it. ( gift shop that make shoofly pie).
As we entered the front door we was greated with a piece of shoofly pie, as I looked down at my plate hesitant to try it, because I had shoofly pie before :-( So I tasted the pie, O my yum! Tanner had some he even liked it. So we bought the whole pie..

If ever in Lancaster PA on Rt#30 this place is a must for shoofly pie!
My two Amish Guys...

Hauling milk in there wagon in the rain, I'm so glad I have a car.

Lighten Up A Redo

From drab to fabulous.
Just take an old lamp shade that has seen
it's last days and add some ribbon,
paint the base, plug it in and ta da.
Oh yea before you buy it make sure it works.
I redid one a while back and never check to see if the lamp worked,
hours later got the project done and the lamp didn't work "scream"!

Good Information Revealed At Science Fair

Tanner Had his end of year science fair tonight at school.
The title of his project was "Longevity Of DC Power Products"
He placed 2 D batteries of different brands in each flash light,
marking the time he turned the flash lights on and off until the
last one ran out of power.
He bought Duracell, Energizer, Rayovac & Sunbeam,
To make a some what of a long story short,
the next to the cheapest batteries ( Rayovac) was the best as
far as cost efficiency and also good with longevity.
The Energizer was the best as far as longevity but costly.
The Duracell came in last with cost effciency and almost tied
with Rayovac as far as longevity,
and the dollar tree batteries ( Sunbeam) came in 2nd with
cost efficiency but not good in longevity.
So when in doubt of what batteries to buy,
we now recommend Rayovac!

Great Job Tanner!!!
